Rupt Stuns at PPAI Expo 2025 with Cardboard Booth, Leading the Charge in Sustainability
A Bold Step Towards a Greener Future
At the PPAI Expo 2025, Rupt made waves with an industry-first—an entire booth crafted from FSC-certified recycled cardboard. As the only exhibitor to fully embrace the Expo’s sustainability mission, Rupt’s striking booth, complete with cardboard backdrops, tables, cabinets, podiums, and an eye-catching tower, proved that innovation and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
"At Rupt, we care about the environmental impact of our tradeshow booth just as much as we care about it with all of our products. This booth is proof that the promo industry can—and must—evolve to prioritize sustainability without sacrificing style or impact," said Jason Lucash, CEO of Rupt. "We’re setting a new standard for what’s possible, and we hope others will follow suit."
Why Cardboard? The Future of Tradeshow Booths
Cardboard booths represent a significant leap forward in sustainable event planning. Unlike traditional materials such as wood, plastic, and metal—which are resource-intensive and often discarded after a single use—recycled cardboard offers a lightweight, biodegradable, and recyclable alternative. It not only reduces the carbon footprint associated with production and transportation but also showcases a brand's commitment to eco-conscious choices.
For Rupt, using recycled materials means contributing to the circular economy by giving new life to existing resources rather than depleting virgin materials. The booth’s design highlighted the versatility and durability of cardboard, proving that sustainability doesn't mean compromising on quality or aesthetics. Moreover, the modular design allowed for efficient assembly and disassembly, further reducing waste and labor costs.
Turning Heads and Changing Minds
Attendees were captivated by the groundbreaking setup, with industry veteran Brian Gill, President of Thumbprint, raving, “Rupt’s booth was absolutely spectacular—there was nothing else like it on the show floor. They’re doing things completely different in the promo industry, and it’s inspiring to see a company truly walking the talk on sustainability.”
The entire booth, weighing only 400 lbs, drastically reduced CO2 emissions during transportation—just 34.79 KG of CO2, fully offset by Rupt’s own Carbon Neutral Program. This revolutionary approach aligned perfectly with PPAI’s sustainability goals, proving that a high-impact booth can also be environmentally responsible.
More Than Just a Booth: Rupt’s Commitment to Sustainability
Rupt’s booth was more than an eye-catching attraction; it was a reflection of the company’s core mission. Beyond the show floor, Rupt is redefining the future of promotional products by incorporating recycled materials—such as ABS, stainless steel, and polyester—into their tech products, backpacks, and drinkware. This commitment significantly reduces the need for new resource extraction and minimizes environmental impact.
The sustainability focus doesn’t end there. Rupt ensures every product is Carbon Neutral, with detailed CO2 emissions tracking from raw material extraction to manufacturing, packaging, and transportation. Their packaging solutions even offer second-life uses, turning boxes into functional objects and further reducing landfill waste. Staying true to their mission, the entire Expo booth will be fully recycled after the show.
